A couple of Owls made their way in front of the lens today. The 1st is one of the Screech Owls I've seen at this location for a few years running.
The 2nd, a Snowy Owl, much larger and more entertaining as it flew from perch to perch on a few occasions.
and in flight....
and coming in for a landing....
I hope to spend some more quality time with this beautiful owl of the north quite soon!

Incredible shots:) I'd love to see one in the wild one day, but we're too far south in the US to see them here. But there are other owls out there:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your very positive comments! and you're right... there are loads of other owls out there...:)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,
Phil
Hi Phil
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning shots of two gorgeous birds. Superb flight shots of the Snowy Owl. Two birds that I've never seen so thank you for posting.
I dream of one day seeing a Snowy Owl. Superb images of the Snowy, and lovely to see an image of a Screech Owl in natural surroundings. Great stuff Phil!
ReplyDeleteThanks again Christian & Richard. I hope to re-visit the Snowy Owl next weekend for a "few" more photos.
