I'm an avid birder and nature photographer wishing to share some of my sightings & images taken while out in the "wilds" of Cape Ann and surrounding New England countryside. More images can be found on my web site at New England Birds Plus Enjoy, Phil Brown

New Years 2011 - Birds, birds and what else.... more birds!

A very pleasant start to 2011 with temps in the high 50's by mid-day. Stops a several locations around the north shore turned up some very nice highlights.

A gray morph Eastern Screech Owl was roosting along the road on Eastern Point in Gloucester
A Peregrine Falcon preened as it perched on Gloucester City Hall.
A hatch year Northern Shrike perched up along Island Rd in Essex
At the Jodrey Fish Pier in Gloucester a 1st year Glaucous Gull was begging for bread crumbs.
